2. What personal data we collect
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: name, email address, company name, password hash and authentication records.
- Usage data: documents uploaded, extraction jobs run, credit balance and ledger entries, and technical logs such as IP address and browser type.
- Communication data: emails or support messages you send us.
3. How we use your personal data
We use personal data to:
- provide, operate and maintain the Service;
- authenticate you and manage your account;
- process credit purchases and consumption;
- improve the Service and fix faults;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and
- respond to your enquiries.
4. Lawful basis for processing
We rely on contract performance to run your account and deliver extractions, legitimate interests for service improvement and security, consent where required (for example for non-essential cookies), and legal obligation where we are required to process data by law.
5. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our terms. Uploaded documents and extraction outputs are retained according to the storage settings in your workspace and are deleted when you delete the underlying job or account.
6. International transfers
We use cloud infrastructure and AI processing providers that may store or process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent measures approved under UK data protection law.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase your personal data in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
